F1 Manager Best Setups

F1 Manager Best Setups for Each Track — F1 Manager 24/23/22

Here are our F1 Manager Best Setups for Each Track for use in F1 Manager 2024, 23, and 22.

F1 Manager 24 carries on the series’ use of the track setup “minigame” to optimise your car’s performance. We’re still undecided on how effective it is or how we feel about it. However, seeing a rating below 80% doesn’t look great, so we’ve put together a few general setups that have worked well for us most of the time. Bear in mind you’ll need to make slight adjustments, as each car, driver, and part configuration varies, but these should provide a solid foundation.

Following the general setups, we’ll include some “perfect” setups that we used during a comprehensive game review. A quick note: these setups should also work in F1 Manager 23 if you’ve arrived here looking for those..

F1 Manager 23 Setups and F1 Manager 22 Setups

Before diving into the F1 Manager 24 setups, it’s worth noting that the following stats and inputs are also compatible with previous games. Any newly added or removed tracks won’t apply, but those carried over from F1 Manager 23 and 22 should work seamlessly.

We haven’t conducted extensive testing, yet based on how the 22 setups performed in 23, we’re confident these will work fine—at least for the generic setups. The setup system hasn’t seen significant updates (and isn’t the most popular), so maybe a complete overhaul is due in future versions. For now, we’ve got you covered. Here’s hoping F1 Manager 25 doesn’t rely on the same old setups… but you never know.

Best Generic F1 Manager Setups for Each Track

The setups below should help you reach at least 80% on most tracks. Some are nearly perfect, while others may fall just short, so remember to make minor adjustments. We’ve done quite a bit of testing with these, and although they’re not flawless, they’ll provide a solid foundation for race preparation. It’s also worth mentioning that the setup system hasn’t changed since its introduction, likely because it often feels more like a hassle than a help for most players.

F1 Manager 24 best setups

Here are some of our 100% setups that we found while reviewing F1 Manager 24. Your mileage will vary, for full clarity these setups were used with a create a team, team, and we were using either Piastri or Botas. But these are the F1 Manager 24 best setups that we found.

Note – we have now done a full season with the numbers below being at least 90%+. However, when we did a second season, all these numbers needed to be tweaked slightly. Either the numbers above, or those below should be perfect, or close to it, but it’s always worth doing some tweaking.

There is also a “bug” where if you input these numbers and simulate a session the numbers are reset, this caused us to lose most a season of data when we finally realised this was happening.

F1 Manager 24 Setup Tips

  • Understand Your Drivers: Tailor setups based on driver preferences and strengths. Use drivers’ feedback to refine car setups for each track. This might not give you 100% but a more aggressive driver or better at overtaking can utilise different setups.
  • Focus on Car Development: Prioritize aerodynamics, chassis, and engine upgrades. Consider your team’s budget and the potential impact on performance. This will directly improve your F1 Manager setup stats.
  • Track Knowledge: Familiarize yourself with each track’s characteristics. Adjust setups to enhance performance on specific circuit types.
  • Tire Management: Pay attention to tire wear and temperature. Adjust strategies to ensure optimal tyre performance throughout the race. A key note in practice is to make sure to use fresh tyres and not run a set to the ground. A general rule of thumb is to run mediums for two sessions and soft for one. Assuming the track is dry.
  • Practice Sessions: Utilize practice sessions to gather data and fine-tune your setups before qualifying and the race.
  • Race Strategy: Develop flexible race strategies based on track conditions and competitor behaviour, including pit stop timings and tyre choices.
  • Monitor Weather Conditions: Adapt your strategy and car setup based on changing weather, which can significantly affect performance.

These tips should help your F1 Manager 24 best setups and utilize them to the max.
