There have been many arguments between what is better, Xbox 360 or the Playstation 3…
Most reviews on this matter (including those that have been on YouTube) have left the matter almost half-hearted. The first thing that people have to realise are two things; The Xbox 360 and The Playstation 3 are both Next Gen consoles aswell as the fact that they are both HD capable (to which the Nintendo Wii is not full HD capable, but that’s for another day).
Firstly we will get to the Pros rather than the cons at this point. The Xbox 360 has interchangeable HDD space making it easier to carry around memory form the console aswell as changing the memory when you run out. This is a feature that the PS3 does not have. The PS3 on the other hand has Blu-Ray capability which is more advanced than the Xbox 360s DVD DL drive, although the Blu-Ray drive has been penalised for having slow loading times.
The PS3 also features an on board Wi-Fi system which you have to pay extra for to have on the Xbox 360, however with this Wi-fi unit being built in it means that Wi-fi N is not available for the PS3. The next thing that i want to mention is the Xbox 360 RROD (Red Ring Of Death) this is a big issue with the Xbox 360 consoles. However, the PS3 features the Amber Light problem also rendering the console useless.
The other side to this argument is the gamepads that each of these consoles use, the Xbox 360 features a large pad designed for a comfortable layout and the PS3 pad designed for the same reason, although the PS3 gamepads features a Six Axis function which is a feature that the Xbox 360 does not have. Then there is the issue of console dedicated games, the PS3 has the Uncharted series which is a fantastic game. The Xbox 360 has the Halo series which is also a fantastic game so there is only ONE solution to this argument!
Both consoles have fantastic Advantages aswell as devastating Disadvantages making both consoles as good and bad as each other!

I’m pretty sure the 360 HDD is proprietary, and the PS3′s hard drives you can actually replace yourself.
The Ps3 HDD can be taken out, how ever it does require more effort, and im unsure of how it works on the Slim.

Hi I know what you all mean about the ps3 hdd but what I meant was that you aren’t supposed to change it. Keep the comments coming and remember geekmandem is where it’s at!!!
If in your infinate wisdom, you can conclude that you are not supposed to change the HDD in the PS3, then why the hell does it come with instructions on how to do it?
PRobably just Sony being a rip off and making you do it yourselkf. But the Xbox 360 HDD is much more user friendly and easy to replace. :) Where are these instructions? can’t say that i ahve seen them. Hmm… OVerlooking?
Trust me Xbox is much better the only thing that the PS3 has that is better is that to use live is free unlike 360 but you get more stuff with 360 and also just got sky and twitter and facebook added. I could go on but iv not got all day
A fair point, but you are clearly an Xbox owner, so you feel the need to justify your purchase against the PS3.
That is fine, but a PS3 owner could argue that they get Uncharted 2 (the best game this gen easily) they have better first party support from sony, things like Vizone and Home bring new life and people to the community etc.
Its all down to personal taste.
